Dots and Stripes Sculpture

These are part of a series of sculptures I was making before learning of the Labanotation and started making my laban sculpture series in 2022. It was truly a revelation discovery as the work I was making had a very strange similarity to the shapes and forms of the movement notation. I have been making films about dance for the last five or six years exploring dance in sports contexts as part of my sculptural practice. I liked the idea that these works are almost references to some kind of futuristic team of an unknown sport.
